Iron-Man 12x16, Pastel on Card

Lately I've wanted to make a more painterly version of a comic book hero.  Additionally, I was pretty sure I wanted to execute it in pastel.  After searching for a while I found a source image I thought would be conducive to a pastel painting.  

This medium really helped me capture the action, motion and energy of the pose. Even though the marks are fairly loose and some quick looking, the work took about 2.5 hours.  I might still tighten up a few details.
